Officially Addicted to Video Games

I am official addicted to video games. I'm sitting here (this lab I have office hours for Friday mornings--CS 116) and I really planned to study, read, watch and listen to anatomy lectures when all of a sudden, I have the temptation to play video games. There's one in particular, called Tremulous I like to refer to it as a first person biter because the team that I play on predominately (aliens) doesn't have guns, you have a mouth and claws. It's pretty fun, but too addicting.

Next thing I suppose is the guy in charge of my IPRO, he's a complete ass, always wants to be in control. What it seems he can't get through his business-oriented head is that we're students, not his employees, we have our schedules that are not going to be flexible around a guy flying in from Canada or us flying into Russia or whatever the hell he wants us to do. Don't get me wrong, the subject matter (blind swimmers, athletes and helping them to compete) still interests me and I still know a lot of people who can help. Another thing this guy doesn't seem to understand is that we're paying him, he's not paying us and therefore should not treat us like his subservients. I'm willing to say that many of our parents and older friends outrank this guy socially and this is just his way of venting. He's an ass, and that is all.
